I'm Back

these past few weeks have been very hectic but i am back now...i have been so busy that i have not even turned on the computer for the past week...but i am here now...where do i begin...ok..here goes..

my last patient in the nursing home was a sweet old woman that could do nothing for herself...she simply exists...but i think to her family it means much more to have her here on earth...i fed, bathed, changed her and her linens...i did an assessment of her...i spoke gently and soothingly...what more could i do...i made her comfortable...
it's sad that the poor 93 year old woman was in such a state...

this week i had clinical in the hospital...it was orientation for the hospital so we had no patients...we were just taken on a tour so that we could familiarize ourselves with the hospital and the proceedures... after the tour we went back to the school for a lab practical..which i was not aware of...so i did no studying for...but i did fine with it...
after the practical one instructor asked if it was worth stressing over...i laughed and said that i was not stressed at all since i had not known we were doing it then...but i think everyone did just fine with the test...studying or no studying..

there was an exam and a test and a math test that i DID study for...in fact much of my time has been spent studying...i got a 93 on the math exam..YEAH!!!!! there were 2 people that i heard of that failed the test and had to drop the class...i feel so bad for them...it could very well have easily been me...on the exam..i think i got a B but there are some problems with the scan tron that scans the exams so they all had to be graded by hand...so maybe i got a better grade...i am keeping my fingers crossed...and i am not sure how i did on the test...i will find out the grade tomorrow..

enough about school...i was busy also because of my youngest sons bday party..ok..i know his bday is in august but whenever we have the kiddie party in august all of his friends are on vacation..so..we decided to have it in the fall...and since halloween is in the fall..we made it a halloween party..the kids had a great time but they are getting older and they did not want to play the games that had for them...but they enjoyed making the crafts and they liked the food...we served..witches finger (chicken wings), dracula eyes (sliced wraps with cream cheese, black olives and pimientos), werewolf bones (small egg rolls), and witches brew...which did not turn out that great..it was apple cider, vanilla ice cream and 7up...the cider and the ice cream alone would have been better...anyway..the party was on saturday and on sunday we went to a reinactment of the revolutionary war which took place in the town that my sister lives in...so we went there for all the festivities then we went to my sisters for dinner...

that has been my days in a nutshell...that is besides all the other things that already keep me busy...
